Cooking Classes and More at Acalia

About Acalia

Elegant Events Under the Space Needle

In 2006, FOODZ Catering was pleased to find a new home in the Queen Anne neighborhood of Seattle, which we renovated into an exciting event space called Acalia. Inspired by the grace and elegance of a calla lily, Acalia provides a dramatically beautiful backdrop for memorable events and receptions, all conveniently supported by our on-site catering company.

Flexible size, adaptable space

During the summer, our combined indoor/outdoor areas can accommodate groups of 150 or more; during winter our indoor seating supports groups ranging from 8 to 110 guests.

Interior spaces provide a wide variety of possibilities—from dining booths, tables with Chivari chairs, and a cozy "club lounge" corner, to a separate, private conference room with A/V capabilities, a full-sized bar, and a large slate foyer that offers a convenient place for check-in, dancing, or mingling.

Outside, a gated 600 sf terrace offers wrought iron bistro tables, backlit awnings, and patio heaters—the perfect summer setting for a band, a barbecue grill, or a cooking class—all under the glow of the Space Needle.

Convenient location, West of the Space Needle

Just two blocks from Seattle Center and Key Arena, we offer one of Seattle's most convenient locations for events, with a dramatic view of the Space needle through extensive vaulted glass ceilings.  Parking's a breeze with ample on-street spaces, an adjacent parking lot, or valet service upon request.

Competent, professional staff

Acalia's excellent service is rooted in the strength of its core team:
